                   The Great Gatsby

The Great Gatsby is a romantic drama film. An adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's 1925 novel of the same name.It follows the life and times of millionaire Jay Gatsby and his neighbor Nick, who recounts his encounter with Gatsby at the height of the Roaring Twenties.
Cast:

Elizabeth Debicki as Jordan Baker
Adelaide Clemens as Catherine
Jason Clarke as George Wilson
Amitabh Bachchan as Meyer Wolfsheim

Brendan Maclean as Klipspringer
Jack Thompson as Nick Carraway's Doctor, Walter Perkins
Gemma Ward as Languid Girl
Callan McAuliffe as Young Jay Gatsby
Gus Murray as Teddy Barton
Stephen James King as Nelson
Director: Baz Luhrmann

Midwesterner Nick Carraway is lured into the lavish world of his neighbor, Jay Gatsby. Soon enough, however, Carraway will see through the cracks of Gatsby's nouveau rich existence, where obsession, madness, and tragedy await.

First of all I can say that I was waiting for this film.Jay Gatsby is a mysterious Long Island Millionaire with mob connections, who throws huge parties nightly in the hope that they will lure the now remarried love of his life.I have reached this novel and the film is not disappointed me.It is a wonderful, sincere film.
As for the cast,it is perfect. Reading the book I imagined the main characters, but these actors were  really tremendeous and impressive. DiCaprio carries the role off reasonably well; he is probably the only possible casting and Mulligan's Daisy has gentleness and vulnerability.Their initial intimate meeting over tea in Nick's cottage, has some charge, and DiCaprio and Mulligan handle it well.Joel Edgerton was very good!He is juxtaposed to Gatsby, the husband of Daisy,he was a real aristocrat!
I can't but mention the soundtrack of the movie. It conveys the atmosphere of that time, I can imagine the great parties, with dancing girls and with a lot of bottles of champaign. This song perfectly suits to this film.
I an deeply impressed by this film,it gives much room for meditation. As a reader and as a viewer I was very sad at the end of the film and the book.I really sympathize to Gatsby and the last phylosophical speech  was great. This film is very touching, exciting and highly - emotional.I will advice everyone to visit the cinema in order to watch this unique film!

The article under consideration is headlined "Eurovision song contest: Russian foreign minister wades into voting row". It is published on the website of the newspaper "The Guardian" on May,21 2013.The author of the article is Miriam Elder. The aim of the current article is to tell about the unfair voting in Eurovision song contest.
The author underlines that Russia's foreign minister has taken time out of a busy schedule to wade into a growing scandal over the Eurovision song contest. As it turns out that Dina Garipova, has been deprived of 10 points allegedly issued by the country's ex-Soviet ally Azerbaijan.
According to Lavrov that 10 points were stolen from our contestant during the Eurovision 2013 contest does not make us happy regarding the organisation of the event. But the outrageous action at Eurovision regarding the Russian contestant will not go unanswered.
The article reports that Garipova, who sang a ballad called What If, finished fifth with 174 points in the contest's final in Sweden on Saturday. She was 17 points behind fourth-placed Margaret Berger of Norway, so the extra 10 points would not have made any difference in the overall ranking.
Mammadyarov said on Tuesday that "a significant part of the Azeri population voted for the Russian singer", and said a full investigation would be carried out to see where the "stolen votes" went.
The author stresses that Azerbaijan's ambassador to Moscow tells that it was impossible that Garipova had not scored any points in his country. The gaudy Eurovision song contest is known for its highly politicised voting, particularly as it has grown in popularity in eastern Europe and Russia, where the event is taken very seriously.
The current article is concluded that this year Denmark's Emmelie de Forest won with 281 points for her song Only Teardrops, well ahead of Azerbaijan's Farid Mammadov who came second.
I have watched the Eurovision 2013,to my mind Dina Garipova looked so pretty. Her song was perfect as her voice.

The article under consideration is headlined "Eurovision prize goes to Denmark, but real winner is Swedish host". It is published on the website of the newspaper "The Guardian" on May 19,2013.The author of the article is Barry Neild. The aim of the current article is to tell about Eurovision 2013 and it's results.
Denmark's Emmelie de Forest, win with 281 points for her song Only Teardrops, well ahead of runners-up Azerbaijan. But it was not as convincing a victory as last year's winner Loreen, though, with Emmelie and her song Tear Drops picking up just eight maximum 12-point scores from the 39 countries voting compared to Loreen's 18 out of 42.The author underlines that the second placed Azerbaijan attracted more top marks, with 10 countries awarding the maximum for Farid Mammadov's performance of "Hold Me".
Ukraine came third and Greece was fourth with the rabble-rousing "Alcohol Is Free".Dina Garipova from Russia became the fifth with her song "What If".
The author stresses that Britain's Bonnie Tyler limped home with just 23 points. She was better than last year's vintage act, Engelbert Humperdinck, who was cruelly defrosted for the indignity of finishing second from last with a mere 12 points. But at least both of them fared better than Ireland, which came in last with only five points.
The current article reports that the show began with a film about a caterpillar becoming a butterfly while travellling from Azerbaijan to Sweden.France opened the show with the song "L'enfer et moi"Finland's Krista Siegfrids, meanwhile, ended her performance of Marry Me with an eyebrow-raising girl-on-girl kiss, but set women's equality back to 1977 with lyrics such as: "I'm your slave and you're my master."Then there was Romania's Cezar. Dressed like a vampiric Elvis, Cezar sang in an alarming falsetto surrounded by men and women dancing in tight lycra.
The current article is concluded that the true winner of the evening was the event's host, Swedish comedian Petra Mede, because he navigated perfectly Eurovision's unique blend of geo-political rivalries, deadly serious musical ambitions and camp nonsense.
I have watched the Eurovision 2013,to my mind Dina  Garipova was the best. She looked beautiful, her dress was smart, her song was perfect! To me, she is a winner!

The article under consideration is headlined "Daft Punk Gets Human With a New Album".It is published on the website of the newspaper "The New York Times" on May 15,2013.The author of the article is Simon Reynolds. The aim of the current article is to tell about the new album of the French dance duo "Daft Punk"which called "Random Access Memories".
Thomas Bangalter one of the influential French dance-musicians his musical partner, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, divide their time between Los Angeles and Paris, where their families live. The house in  Los Angeles is very rich and luxurious, the swimming pool, a small square of radiant Hockney blue, is visible through the glass walls. The house’s décor mirrors the retro-modern aesthetic that runs through every stage of Daft Punk’s 20-year career.
The author stresses that Daft Punk expanded the audience for dance music alongside late-‘90s peers like the Chemical Brothers, influenced Madonna and Kanye West, and helped shape the visual side of live dance music performance. They are famous for robot masks and spectacular pyramid-shaped stage set inspired the high-tech showmanship of younger electronic dance music stars like Skrillex.
The author underlines that   "Daft Punk's" new album is an analog flashback to the era of live musicianship, involving a crack squad of session players, the disco legends Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder,  rockers like Julian Casablancas.
The current article reports that the promotional campaign for the album also looked back to an era before Twitter and free downloads.Daft Punk and its team orchestrated a suspense-building trail of hints about a new project with billboard ads and teaser minicommercials on TV.
Unfortunately,I have never listened the albums of  "Daft Punk".I think their new album will be successful!

The article under consideration is headlined "Eurovision: Ukraine’s Golden Fire".It is published on the website "Euronews.com" on May 10.The author of the article is unknown. The aim of the current article to tell about the participant for Eurovision from Ukrain.
Zlata Ognevich is a very beloved celebrity in Ukraine. She is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest.Last year, Zlata took part in the Ukrainian national selection where she came  the second. This year, Zlata will have the honour of representing her country again, this time in Malmö.
The article reports that Zlata was born in Murmansk, Russia. Her family later moved to Ukrainian (Crimea). Since then two passions appeared in Zlata’s life: the mountains and the sea. And a little bit later the third one: music. Zlata Ognevich is a stage name: Zlata means “gold”, ognevych – “fire”.
The author underlines that Zlata puts in a lot of hours at the studio, where she loves to experiment. A huge part of Zlata’s success comes from working with gifted composer and producer Mikhail Nekrasov and his team.
The author stresses that according to British bookmakers, Zlata is in with a good chance of coming second at this year’s Eurovision. However, she prefers not to think about places at all – she says she’ll concentrate on the song instead.
Zlata is not considered her the best, but she will struggle. She is  going to focus on the song. Nothing else but music. All she wants  that people will be amazed by it and will remember it.
Zlata Ognevic will perform the song “Gravity” on the first semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest on May 14. The Eurovision final will take place on May 18.
Unfortunately,I haven't heardthe songs by  Zlata Ognevich. And as a patriot,I expect the winning of our Russian girl Dina Garipova.

The article published on the website of the newspaper "The Guardian" on May 2,2013 is headlined "Iron Man 3 smashes his way to the top at the UK box office".The article is written by Charles Gant.In the current article the author speaks about the third part of the film "Iron Man" produced by Shane Black.
The author stresses that the arrival of a monster hit invariably has an effect on other films in the market. Many films recovered ground after the previous sunny weekend – The Croods dipped just 11%, for example – others competing more directly with Iron Man 3 suffered.
The author underlines that Disney prepared Iron Man 3 for release, but a natural question arises would it perform like the first two instalments in the Tony Stark series, or could it fly close to the astonishing success of The Avengers last summer?
The article reports that Iron Man opened in May 2008 with £5.47m including £667,000 in previews. Iron Man 2 followed two years later with £7.66m including previews of £877,000, an increase of 40%. Then April 2012 saw The Avengers soar away with £15.78m, including £2.55m in previews – more than double the Iron Man 2 debut.Globally, the film has debuted with $195m, with the UK grabbing bragging rights as the top territory. However, the US, China, Russia and Germany are yet to open.
Thanks to Iron Man 3, the market is a handy 118% up on the previous weekend, but nevertheless 16% down on the equivalent frame from a year ago, when Marvel's Avengers ruled the roost.
The author emphasizes that with the rest of May seeing the arrival of Star Trek Into Darkness, Fast and Furious 6, The Great Gatsby, The Hangover: Part III and animation Epic from the makers of Ice Age, this coming weekend the market first pauses for breath. Iron Man 3 will continue to dominate as plucky contenders enter the fray, hoping to grab some counter-programming cash.
To my mind the competition between companies for producing films is great.Producers try to  do everything so that make their film the best. And result may be unforeseen.
